Showing up outside the home of a Black elected official, with her young Black daughter inside, sounds more like Jim Crow era strategy than modern outcry against income inequality. Contemporary conservatives quickly draw parallels between such current conduct and domestic terrorism committed by Democrats during Desegregation.

All that was needed to top off the unwelcome event was burning a cross in front of her home.

I’m seeing too many rude, violent “antiracists” strutting around like royalty using George Floyd, a murdered Black man, as cover for this latest exercise of elite liberal privilege, one where they aren’t arrested or met with force by order of the very mayor they tried to intimidate.

This same mayor said, “We have to do better than that.”

I agree wholeheartedly. This action was an insult to the Black community and real anti racists citywide.

My grassroots security consulting includes working with peaceful protest organizers and authorities to ensure incident free exercises of the First Amendment. I’m turned off by skinhead style violence which is the signature statement of many George Floyd and other trending police brutality protests around the country.

I’ve fought racism for a lifetime but don’t endorse today’s brown shirt- esque tactics.

New Orleans Mayor experienced what predatory protestors really think about her and by extension, any Black person who isn’t part of their anarchist agenda.

Not a very antiracist statement.
