Meghan Markle’s Father Thomas Tells Her And Harry To ‘Stop Whining…There Is A Pandemic

Thomas Markle, the estranged father of Meghan Markle, spoke out on Monday night to publicly tell his daughter and her husband Prince Harry to “stop whining” about their own lives while the world is in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

“This is the worst time in the world to be whining,” Thomas told The Sun [1]. “I love my daughter but I really don’t appreciate what she’s become right now.”

Thomas said this in response to the release of the explosive new tell-all memoir “Finding Freedom,” which was written by authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand. Though Meghan and Harry claim to have had no involvement in the book, many are skeptical of this claim, as it is full of intimate anecdotes that only they and their close friends would know about.

Thomas made it clear that this was not the time to publish a book complaining about how hard life is as a royal.

“This is the worst time in the world for them to be whining and complaining about anything — because people everywhere are suffering due to the coronavirus pandemic,” he said.

He added that he was disturbed by some of the claims that were made in the book, including one alleging that Meghan “rejected” the idea of getting help to protect her father in the lead-up to her wedding in 2018.

“The fact the royals advised them to get me help and they refused to do it is incredible news,” Thomas said from his home in Mexico.

At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic back in March, Thomas spoke out publicly to urge Harry and Meghan to return to the United Kingdom and support the Queen.

“I think Meghan and Harry should go back to the Royal family in the UK and be supportive of the Queen,” Thomas told The Mirror [2]. “I think they should be in England at this time and not in L.A. They can join the A-list and make lots of money, of course, when the problem with the virus is over.”

He also expressed his sadness that Meghan had yet to reach out to him amidst the pandemic, as they have been estranged since he didn’t attend her wedding.

“I am in the high risk category, but now a number of young people are also coming down with it,” Thomas said. “If I could say anything to Harry and Meghan right now it is that life is too short. I would certainly tell them to be careful and I would tell them that I love them. This is the time to think about what is really important in life – it’s too short and unpredictable. While we have to isolate physically, there is no reason to isolate personally from each other at this time.”
