Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn) spoke out on Sunday to slam President Donald Trump as “incompetent,” but it didn’t take long for this to blow up in her face.
While Omar was appearing on MSNBC, she was asked by anchor Jonathan Capehart, “As a result of that rally in late September, September 30… we now know that 19 people have come down with the coronavirus since that rally. Are you satisfied with the information that’s coming out of the White House, particularly from the president’s doctor, about the president’s health?”
“No. We still don’t have a clear answer to, you know, when he actually tested positive for the coronavirus,” she replied [1]. “We don’t know if there were indications of him being possibly positive when he went to Minnesota and other states as he held his cult rallies. We at the moment don’t know if there has been a negative test for this president as he prepares to reassume his cult rallies that have now become super-spreaders.”
“I mean, you know, that Saturday at the Rose Garden… that event wasn’t just outside, it was also indoors,” Omar added. “It speaks to the level of incompetency, negligence, and, you know, just the danger that he has created as he’s damaged what it means to trust, you know, the information that is supposed to come from the White House.”
Unfortunately for Omar, however, this immediately blew up in her face when Twitter users fired back at her.
“Why is she not in jail for breaking the campaign laws and lie on her immigration she need to be removed and go to jail,” one social media user commented [2], with another adding [3], “Maybe this wise Somali scientist could offer some specific evidence other than the vile language coming from the LEFT side of it’s mouth?”
A third user went so far as to claim that Omar is an “ISIS plant.”
“When is this ISIS plant going to be PROSECUTED????” the user commented [4].
Perhaps Omar should think twice before she ever messes with Trump again.
