Last week, it was announced that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo will be receiving this year’s International Emmy Founder’s Award “in recognition of his leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic and his masterful use of television to inform and calm people around the world.” He is being given this award despite the fact that his actions in responding to the coronavirus pandemic resulted in the deaths of thousands of New Yorkers.

Fox News meteorologist Janice Dean, who lost her in-laws to coronavirus in New York earlier this year, became visibly emotional as she sounded off over Cuomo’s Emmy win on Monday.

“It’s just more grief. Every time we see this governor celebrating himself on television, it’s just a reminder of the people that we lost, partly because of his leadership,” Dean told “Fox & Friends.”

She later added that the thought of Cuomo sending footage of his briefings to the organization makes her “physically sick.”

“I heard that to get an Emmy Award, you have to send videotape of yourself to the board members,” Dean said. “And so to think that the governor was going through some of his TV appearances talking about deaths in New York and submitting those videos to the Emmy folks really makes me physically sick. He could start his award-winning speech by saying, ‘I’m really sorry for your loss.’ That’s something we have never heard from this governor at any of his meetings or his PowerPoint presentations.”

“While he accepts his award, many of us just accepted caskets and urns of our loved ones,” she continued.

Dean is enraged over Cuomo’s infamous policy from earlier this year in which he forced nursing homes to accept coronavirus positive patients. Though the policy was only in effect from March to May, it is believed that it resulted in the deaths of thousands of New Yorkers.

Cuomo has refused to accept any responsibility for this, and has instead repeatedly boasted about his handling of COVID-19. The liberal media has followed suit by fawning over Cuomo, ignoring all the blood that is on his hands.
