Gun Ban Popularity At All Time Low

If there is one right in America that nobody should infringe on – it would be a person’s right to own a firearm to protect themselves or their family. Throughout the years, the Democrats have done their best to place harsher laws on gun owners, but every time they are met with a fight not only from citizens but also from the National Rifle Association. No matter what tactic the Democrats use to try and take guns away from owners, new polls show that most Americans are happy with their weapons.

As the stands, violence is plaguing the country over nothing but politics. The Democrats wouldn’t dare go against their voter base, so Black Lives Matter and Antifa have free reign to do whatever they want as long as it is in the name of social justice. With public violence at a fever pitch, it shouldn’t come as no shock that more people would want to own a gun. For now, only 57% of Americans believe there should be harsher gun laws put on gun owners.

While that is still a majority of the population, it should be noted that it has fallen almost eleven points since 2018. As for people who believe we should have fewer gun laws in the country, it has also seen a rise from 4% in 2018 all the way to 9%. Another 34% of voters feel that the gun laws in America are just fine where they are and should not be touched at all.

But instead of breaking down to voters, let’s take a look at what the parties believe. It should come as no surprise that the Democrats would all be in favor of stricter gun laws. Without saying it, they would completely take every right we have away – starting with our protection. While 85% of Democrats want stricter gun laws, only 22% of Republicans feel the same way.

Thanks to the Gallup poll, both parties are able to see that the outright ban on any type of weapon is almost at an all-time low. Hovering around 25%, the ban of guns saw a history low back in 2016 when President Trump first took office.
