Lori Loughlin’s Husband Shaves His Head Days Before Beginning His Prison Sentence

Mossimo Giannulli, the designer husband of former “Fuller House” actress Lori Loughlin, has shaved his head as he prepares to start his five month prison sentence for his role in the college admissions scandal.

Loughlin and Giannulli pled guilty earlier this year to charges related to them paying $500,000 in bribe money to have their two daughters admitted to the University of Southern California as members of the crew team, even though neither girl had ever rowed before. While Loughlin was sentenced to just two months in prison, prosecutors felt that Giannulli deserved a tougher sentence because he was “the more active participant in the scheme,” while she “took a less active role, but was nonetheless fully complicit.”

Photos obtained by Daily Mail [1] show that Giannulli has shaved his head and grown a long gray beard. This is a stark contrast to the clean-cut appearance he had during his various court appearances in relation to this case.

Loughlin began serving her sentence at the end of last month at a facility in Dublin, California.

“The parties recently agreed that the defendant can report to prison on October 30, 2020, instead of on November 19, 2020. The defendant has further agreed that, during her two month sentence, she will not seek an early release from prison on COVID-related grounds,” prosecutors said in a statement, referring to Loughlin.

A source told E! News [2] back in August that both Loughlin and Giannulli were “terrified” to go to prison.

“Everyone is on edge and just trying to hold it together and stay strong,” this insider said. “The family is staying strong and positive and looking forward to putting this behind them.”

Giannulli and his two daughters, Isabella and Olivia Jade, have reportedly been leaning on each other since Loughlin began her sentence.

“While the family is going through a difficult time, they are supporting each other,” another insider told US Weekly [3]. “[They] understand that mistakes were made but that in order to move forward they need to forgive and move forward.”

A different source said that Loughlin has been “struggling” since she started her sentence.

“Lori is trying to keep her head low and just get through this ordeal,” the source told In Touch Magazine [4], adding that while “she’s been able to make calls and send emails, all monitored … every second feels like a lifetime in there.”

“Lori is living a real-life nightmare. Lori is hating life inside prison,” this insider added. “Her first days there were dreadful.”
