While the Democrats might have won the election and stole all of Washington in the process, they have yet to understand that America will always remain to the people. One reason for that is the basic right to bear arms. Since this great country was founded, all citizens have held the right to purchase a firearm and defend their lives. While the Democrats have attacked this right over the years, 2020 proved to be the firearm’s most profitable year yet.

Recently, the National Shooting Sports Foundation did a final analysis of the FBI background checks done last year. Not surprising, but they found gun sales were up by 21 million. That is a massive 34% jump over the previous record, which was set in 2016. What is interesting to note is that both last year and 2016 were election years.

The data showed that “8.4 million people bought a firearm for the first time in 2020. That’s 40% of all purchases. This year’s buyer is increasingly diverse too. Forty percent of 2020’s buyers were women and the biggest increase of any demographic category was among African Americans, who bought guns at a rate of 58% greater than in 2019.”

But it isn’t just politics that is pushing people to protect themselves. The data also showed that people were uncertain about the future due to COVID-19 and the readiness of the government. This backed with the Democrats stealing the election and there is no wonder the FBI saw more background checks this year than any other year previous.

According to Drew Miller, who created the Fortitude Ranch survival encampments around the United States, he believes that the Capitol Hill riots proved how unready the country is for any form of attack. Miller told reporters, “Millions more Americans have woken up to the need for weapons and survival preparedness because they see that law and order is very fragile and can instantly vanish in any kind of a crisis.”

While setting record numbers for the year, many industry experts believe the number would be much higher if the supply were readily available to the consumer. Due to the political strain, ammunition has been at an all-time low, with some even speculating if the shortage was deliberately caused by the government.
