With the number of immigrants crossing the border reaching over 200,000, President Biden and his VP, Kamala Harris, have both refrained from speaking about or even visiting the crisis they won’t admit to. Instead, the Biden Administration decided to abandon border patrol agents as facilities reach record highs. And among all those people Biden and Harris are turning a blind eye to, many are children with no help and less hope. 

A recent story, first reported by Fox News, shows just how desperate the situation at the border really is. Agents are so understaffed and overworked that innocent children are being stranded by smugglers and left to survive the elements with nothing more than the clothes on their back. Recently, a Texas farmer was startled when he discovered a pair of “baby girls”, one being too young to even walk, on his property near the border. 

Having owned the property since 1946, the farmer recounted how he has never seen anything like this before and was shocked to find the girls still alive when the heat index was close to 107. Luckily, the farmer acted quickly, and with the help from his neighbors, was able to care for the children while CBP agents were on route.

While stories like this are becoming all too common given the current “situation”, Democrats are still turning their backs, giving little worry or effort towards fixing the growing crisis. Texas Rep. Tony Gonzales not only tweeted about the story, but he also traveled to the border and interviewed the farmer about the experience.

And it’s not just Republicans who are blowing the whistle at the border. Chief Border Patrol Agent Austin Skero II discussed how stories of abandoned children are all too common in his line of work. “Unfortunately this happens far too often now. If not for our community and law enforcement partners, these little girls could have faced the more than 100-degree temperatures with no help.” 

But please remember, according to President Biden and the head of the “border situation”, Kamala Harris, there is nothing to worry about and the surge of immigrants is normal.
