During the parade, a vehicle speeded past, followed by numerous police cars, according to the video streamed on the city’s social media page. A witness who spoke with news outlet Patch said that everyone was urged to run from the area during the pursuit of the fleeing vehicle.

WISN12 News reporter Courtney Sisk shared an update on Twitter regarding the incident, saying that witnesses claimed that members of the group the “Dancing Grannies” were among those injured – with some not moving as a result of the impact.

“I just got off the phone with a witness, she said that it was the dancing group the ‘Dancing Grannies’ – and they were right in front of them – and then the car hit that group. She said that there were at least four members of the ‘Dancing Grannies’ that were on the ground in front of them – in front of her family – and they were not moving.”
