President Joe Biden is firing back after the Supreme Court blocked his vaccine mandate for large employers, which would have forced companies with more than 100 workers to ensure that employees either get their COVID-19 vaccinations or be tested regularly.

“Although Congress has indisputably given OSHA the power to regulate occupational dangers, it has not given that agency the power to regulate public health more broadly,” the Supreme Court said in its ruling. “Requiring the vaccination of 84 million Americans, selected simply because they work for employers with more than 100 employees, certainly falls in the latter category.”

Biden responded by saying that he is “disappointed” by the ruling, according to People Magazine.

“The Supreme Court has chosen to block common-sense life-saving requirements for employees at large businesses that were grounded squarely in both science and the law,” Biden said. “The Court has ruled that my administration cannot use the authority granted to it by Congress to require this measure, but that does not stop me from using my voice as President to advocate for employers to do the right thing to protect Americans’ health and economy.”

“As a result of the Court’s decision, it is now up to States and individual employers to determine whether to make their workplaces as safe as possible for employees, and whether their businesses will be safe for consumers during this pandemic by requiring employees to take the simple and effective step of getting vaccinated,” he added.

Liberal justices Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayer and Elena Kagan sided with Biden when it came to this issue.

“In the face of a still-raging pandemic, this court tells the agency charged with protecting worker safety that it may not do so in all the workplaces needed,” the liberal justices wrote. “As disease and death continue to mount, this court tells the agency that it cannot respond in the most effective way possible.”

MSNBC host Joy Reid threw a complete tantrum over this Supreme Court ruling.

“I have to say, I don’t have faith in this Supreme Court. I think they’re ideologues. I think they’re right-wing ideologues,” she said, according to Fox News. “I think they’re sort of doing a Christian nationalist version of whatever it is the Supreme Court used to do.”

Reid went on to say that it is hard to think of Supreme Court justices “as anything other than right-wing ideologues. They should all just have right-wing talk radio shows. They are not justices in the great tradition of Supreme Court justices. They’re just politicians as far as I’m concerned. I see nothing about what they’re doing that I can possibly respect. It’s sad what’s happening to this country.”

Liberals like Biden and Reid can kick and scream as much as they want to, but it won’t change the Supreme Court’s decision.
