Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich spoke out on Sunday to slam the entire Biden family for being “corrupt,” saying that they were “almost like a criminal family in the old-fashioned mafia sense.”
Gingrich told WABC [1] that Joe Biden “misused the office of Vice President” when he served in the role under Barack Obama from 2009 to 2016.
“It is the most astonishingly deep corruption of the White House in American history,” Gingrich said. “And Biden just cheerfully lies about it every single day. And because the news media wants to protect him, they refuse to do the kind of investigation it should.”
Joe’s son Hunter is currently under investigation for his business ventures overseas by a Delaware Grand Jury. Emails found on a laptop that was abandoned by Hunter suggest that his father may have taken part in his family’s multimillion-dollar global schemes during his time as vice president, according to The New York Post [2]. Text messages that were sent by Hunter reveal that he gave a 50 percent kickback to his dad.
“I hope you all can do what I did and pay for everything for this entire family for 30 years,” Hunter told his daughter Naomi in January of 2019. “It’s really hard. But don’t worry, unlike pop, I won’t make you give me half your salary.”
“Pop” is a clear reference to Joe Biden.
In a June 5, 2010 email to his business partner Eric Schwerin that was titled “JRB Bills,” which are Joe Biden’s initials, Hunter showed expenses paid for the upkeep of his father’s lakefront manor in Wilmington. Other evidence shows that Joe sometimes reimbursed his son for expenses.
On Monday morning, Gingrich slammed Biden in an interview with Fox News [3], this time saying that the president’s new “disinformation board” would totally violate the U.S. Constitution.
“This is a good example of big government socialism at work,” Gingrich said. “This is a censorship board. The First Amendment of the Constitution says you can’t make any law that affects free speech. So Mayorkas – who I think should be impeached immediately and the board should be defunded immediately – Mayorkas is essentially explaining that they are going to break the Constitution, exercise censorship and that’s what it is, censorship.”
Alejandro Mayorkas is the current Department of Homeland Security, but Gingrich thinks he should be impeached for this.
“And we’re supposed to trust their appointees who are all left-wingers to be fair and neutral. This is nonsense,” he added. “These people are crazy. I think we need to understand what they are trying to do is a total violation of the American Constitution.”
