Kamala Harris Comments On Abortion Rights Blow Up In Her Face As Liberals Turn On Her

Vice President Kamala Harris’ response to Roe v. Wade being overturned on Friday has blown up in her face as liberals are taking issue with it and turning on her.

Hours after the overturn, Harris took to Twitter to post a photo of herself watching CNN’s coverage of pro-choice protests while flying on Air Force 2.

“I know there are women out there who are afraid,” she captioned the image. “To those of you who feel alone and scared: I want you to know the President and I are fighting for you and your rights. We are in this fight together.”

Social media users, however, were not having any of it.

“Could you be specific? Like, *how* are you fighting? Describe the tactics, explain the policy, give us the rundown,” tweeted New York Magazine contributor Hillary Kelly.

“Um. 36,000 feet above everything, watching on a big a– TV in a private plane, and the message is ‘we’re in this together’? I’m not sure you guys get where the rest of us are at right now,” commented Daily Kos writer Joan McCarter, according to Fox News [5].

“Not VP Kamala Harris watching the erosion of #RoeVsWade from her plane, at a distance. Whoever thought this was good photo-op needs to be fired immediately. This is literally the embodiment of thoughts and prayers,” added writer Anna Gifty.

Ernest Owens, editor-at-large for Philadelphia magazine, tweeted, “Change his mind on this [changing the filibuster to protect abortion rights] and I’ll believe you.”

This comes one year after court documents revealed that Harris had teamed up with abortion providers as she worked a case against pro-life journalist David Daleiden as California’s attorney general. Last month, she met virtually with abortion providers at the White House to discuss the potential impact of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade.

Harris’ tweet came hours after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, effectively handing the issue of abortion back to the states.

“Roe was egregiously wrong from the start,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote in his majority opinion, according to Daily Mail [9]. “Its reasoning was exceptionally weak, and the decision has had damaging consequences. And far from bringing about a national settlement of the abortion issue, Roe and Casey have enflamed debate and deepened division.”

Liberals have been losing their minds over the overturn of Roe v. Wade in the days since, but regardless of how much they kick and scream, it won’t be coming back.
