New Details Emerge About Ghislaine Maxwell’s Life In Cushy Low-Security Prison

Earlier this week, we reported [1] that Ghislaine Maxwell, the alleged former madam of the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, had been moved to a cushy low-security prison in Florida where she can do things like watch movies and teach yoga. Now, new details have emerged about what Maxwell’s new prison life is like as she serves her 20 year sentence on sex trafficking charges.

The New York Post [2] reported that at FCI Tallahassee, Maxwell will be able to buy Dial hand soap, Pantene shampoo and delicacies including strawberry Pop-Tarts and Velveeta mac & cheese. Each of these items are on the prison’s commissary list, which allows inmates to buy food, clothes and toiletries with money deposited into accounts by their associates.

The food items that are on the commissary list include Oreos, Dill pickles, plain bagels, Nutella, jalapeño refried beans, apple sauce, Jimmy Dean Hickory bacon, sliced pepperoni and jalapeño bacon bites. On top of that, Maxwell, 60, will have her pick of skin care products, soaps and shampoos.

Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison on charges related to her grooming young girls for sex with Epstein, and sometimes participating in the abuse herself. Epstein allegedly committed suicide in prison back in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex crime charges of his own.

“I realize I have been convicted of assisting Jeffrey Epstein to commit these crimes,” Maxwell said during her sentencing. “My association with Epstein will permanently stain me. It is the biggest regret of my life that I ever met him.”

Maxwell went on to say that Epstein “fooled all of those in his orbit,” adding that she was a victim of this herself.

Maxwell was transferred to Florida earlier this week after serving more than two years at a prison in Brooklyn, New York, where she regularly complained about the conditions. She will undoubtedly be very happy to be at her new prison, where she will have the freedom to watch movies, teach yoga, and even take part in the inmate talent show.

Maxwell will not be eligible for parole until 2037, when she will be 75 years-old. Fox News [3] reported that at FCI Tallahassee, Maxwell must wake up at 6am every day and wear a uniform of khaki pants and a shirt. She will also be able to walk the outdoor recreation area known as the yard.

“Sex offenders can walk the yard,” said one inmate, with another adding, “Everybody can walk, even women who killed their children or other people’s children. Nobody cares. And nobody cares about informants either.”

Maxwell had asked to be allowed to serve out her sentence at FCI Danbury in Connecticut, which was made famous by the Netflix show “Orange Is The New Black,” but the Bureau of Prisons did not honor this request. However, given how cushy FCI Tallahassee seems to be, it’s unlikely that Maxwell is too upset about this.

Many would still like to see Maxwell release her and Epstein’s client list, as many powerful names are said to be on it. It remains to be seen if she will ever actually do this.
