If it wasn’t so disappointing and scary, it would be comical. Yes, the FBI’s computer network was hacked recently.
That’s kind of like a security company getting broken into. Or an alarm company getting robbed.
Yes, we know how corrupt and partisan that the FBI has become, but it appears that they are incompetent as well.
It was announced last Friday that the FBI is investigating a hack of its computer network. An emailed statement to Reuters said, “The FBI is aware of the incident and is working to gain additional information.”
They say that the incident is “contained.”
The computers involved are reported to be in a New York office where they investigate child sexual exploitation. Hm… looks like there there might be some computer savvy pedophile ring folks that need to delete some incriminating information? Or someone inside he FBI maybe that needs to get rid of some evidence?
The kind of hack it was or where it originated from have not been disclosed. And might never be.
And in a move that may or may not be related to the incident, the U.S. Justice Department announced on Thursday that it created a “strike force” to go after foreign actors who try to steal the technology of the United States through hacking attacks.
This is a joint initiative through the Dept. of Justice and the Commerce Department. Isn’t that something that the FBI should already be doing?
It’s kinda like the newly created “UFO Task Force” that has a new group of people doing something that the country should have already been doing years and years ago.
