They have now deployed former president Barack Obama to downplay critical race theory

In an interview on CNN Obama messaged the new approach saying things like. “But I also think there are certain right wing media venues for example that monetize and capitalize on stoking the fear and resentment of a white population that is witnessing a changing America and seeing demographic changes,” he said. “And do everything they can to give people a sense that their way of life is threatened, and people are trying to take advantage of them.” Obama said that notion of being threatened is being seen now in the debate over critical race theory. “You would think with all the public policy debates that are taking place right now that the Republican Party would be engaged in a significant debate about how we are going to deal with the economy and what are we going to do about climate change?” he said. “Lo and behold the single most important issue to them apparently right now is critical race theory. Who knew that that was the threat to our republic but those debates are powerful because they get at what story do we tell about ourselves.” From CRT researcher and journalist Chriss Rufo on twitter, Obama is being coy, but he knows exactly what critical race theory teaches. In fact, here’s a photograph of Obama hugging the founder of critical race theory, Professor Derrick Bell, back when he was a student at Harvard Law. That’s right, do you see it the inset picture here? Chris goes on to encourage us all to keep up the push back on CRT as this deployment of Obama to defend, downplay, and deflect away from CRT means we are making incredible progress.
