In a vote of 66-33, The Senate broke the final filibuster on the $95.3 billion Ukraine foreign aid package, the bill that was stripped of US border security funding, setting up final passage as early as Tuesday (today folks). The vote exposes a deep divide within the GOP — with Mitch McConnell among its biggest boosters — and Speaker Johnson threatening to ignore it and siding with Trump. The Rs who voted in favor: Capito, Cassidy, Collins, Ernst, Grassley, Kennedy, McConnell, Moran, Murkowski, Romney, Rounds, Sullivan, Thune, Tillis, Wicker, Young, Cornyn. That’s right, those are the Republican Senators who don’t really care about what you think. In fact, McConnell and Tillis say that you and me, the base of the party, don’t know enough about the issue of Ukraine because we don’t have the intelligence briefings that a US Senator has or we’re just too dim-witted to know what is important. Well, Roger Wicker has earned primary opponents in his bid for re-election coming up on March 12. We had one of them on already this week and today our guest is the other candidate.
