Joe Biden is in trouble over the Tara Reade rape charges and the liberal mainstream media is serving as his publicity agent in trying to ignore the charges. Biden’s story has changed repeatedly from “I remember, It didn’t happen” to “I remember her, it was a misunderstanding” to now “I have no recollection of this person…Miss Reade…I did not have sex…or otherwise…with…never heard of…Miss Reade.” Granted, we may have taken liberties with the preceding quote.

Biden is facing a Democrat base and pros who are not happy with his performance so far as a de facto nominee and in answering these charges. So much so that many questions are floating around DC as to whether he will ever actually get the nomination. Pros wonder will somebody else make the case that he is too weak against Trump and snatch the prize from him?

His situation has become harder, as several people have come forth to confirm that Reade told them of the alleged sexual attack immediately after the event. These people, as opposed to associates and semi-witnesses during the Kavanaugh hearings, are not party activists and functionaries working for the Democrats. They are not political at all, but only average citizens trying to do their duty and tell the truth.

However, the truth is not something the press is interested in. Here is their attempt to cover it up for Joe Biden:

“Do you remember Tara Reade who worked there for about a year in 1992-1993?” MSNBC host Laurence O’Donnell asked Biden on Wednesday.

“Well, to be honest with you, I don’t,” Biden responded. “But let me get something clear, when a woman makes a claim that she has been harassed or abused, and this claim has changed… she should be taken seriously. She should come forward, share her story, she should be taken seriously and it should be thoroughly vetted. And in every case, what matters is the truth. The truth is what matters. And the truth of the case is nothing like this ever, ever happened… I give you my word. It never, ever happened.”

Ah, I see, his word is good enough. Funny, the word of every GOP candidate or nominee wasn’t good enough for Joe Biden or the press. Now, this is?

Biden went on, when asked about voters perception of Reade’s claims: “Well, I think they should vote their heart and if they believe Tara Reade, they probably shouldn’t vote for me. I wouldn’t vote for me if I believed Tara Reade. The fact is that look at Tara Reade’s story. It changes considerably. And I don’t want to question her motive, I don’t want to question anything other than to say the truth matters. This is being vetted, it’s been vetted, and people scores of my employees over my whole career. This is just totally, thoroughly, completely out of character. And the idea that in a public place, in a hallway I would assault a woman? I mean, it’s just- I- anyway, I promise you. It never happened.”

The repetition of the talking points over and over again for message penetration, combined with the softball setups from the media, mean they are trying to clean up this mess on Aisle Joe. But, it’s not going away anytime soon.
