Country music legend Dolly Parton may play an angel in the new Netflix movie “Christmas on the Square," but what many fans don't know is that she acted as a real life guardian angel behind the scenes on the film when she saved one of the child actors on set from being hit by a car!

Sixteen-year-old Tristan, 13-year-old Tyson and 9-year-old Talia of the Hill family are aspiring entertainers who had their dreams come true when they were cast in the movie. In a new interview with Inside Edition, Talia recalled how Parton saved her from being hit by a vehicle during filming.

“We were on set and I was at the hot chocolate station and they said go back to your beginning positions,” she said. “So, there is a vehicle moving and I was walking and then somebody grabbed me and pulled me back and I looked up and it was Dolly Parton and I was like... surprised.”

Talia added that Parton proceeded to joke that playing an angel in the movie must be rubbing off on her and causing her to perform good deeds!

“She was like ‘Well, I am an angel you know,’ because she plays an angel in the movie," the little girl said. "And I was in shock. She hugged me and shook me and said ‘I saved your life’ and my mom was crying like, ‘yes you did Dolly Parton, yes you did!’”

The three siblings had nothing but positive memories of working with Parton.

“When you think of Dolly Parton, you are just like ’it is Dolly Parton,’ but when you actually see her you are like ‘Wow, it’s Dolly Parton,” being in her presence lifts you. She is so amazing," Tristan said,

“When Dolly walked in she smelled like heaven. She greeted everyone even if you were a trash can person,” Talia continued. “It was such a great feeling.”

This is far from the first life that Parton has saved this year. Back in April, she made a $1 million donation to COVID-19 research, and the New England Journal of Medicine stated that this donation as well as the work done by the researchers who used it at Vanderbilt University directly led to Moderna announcing it had produced a coronavirus vaccine that is nearly 95% effective.

“I’m just happy that anything I do can help somebody else,” Parton recently said, according to Fox News. “When I donated the money to the COVID[-19] fund I just wanted it to do good and evidently, it is! Let’s just hope we can find a cure real soon.”
