As the COVID-19 vaccine was made available to the American people this week, there is already a divide forming among people who are for the vaccine and those who aren’t. Among those who are for the vaccine, the quantities are already in low demand as the waiting list gets ever longer. Now, it appears that experts are even drawing lines in the sand as to who should get the vaccine first and who shouldn’t. According to one, white people, especially the elderly, should be one of the last groups to get the vaccine.

One of the experts, Dr. Peter Szilagyi, who is a pediatrics professor at the University of California said, "The issue of ethics is very significant, very important for this country, and clearly favors the essential worker group because of the high proportion of minority, low-income and low-education workers among essential workers."

Another professor at the University of Pennsylvania weighed in on the matter declaring, "It is reasonable to put essential workers ahead of older adults, given their risks, and that they are disproportionately minorities. Older populations are whiter, " Schmidt went on to say. "Society is structured in a way that enables them to live longer. Instead of giving additional health benefits to those who already had more of them, we can start to level the playing field a bit."

But while these professors weigh in on the ethical dilemma that the vaccine is somehow presenting, it should be noted that people aged 75-84 have a much higher chance of contracting COVID-19 than younger adults. How much higher? Trying 220 times higher. That is the reason the elderly are being given priority over essential workers. It has nothing to do with the color of a person’s skin.

Again, this is another ploy by the Democrats to push a narrative to further divide the American people. First, nobody trusted the vaccine, now all of a sudden – there is such a high demand that people are fighting to get on a list. This is where the Democrats fail time and time again, they don’t wish to help the American people – they only wish to control and possess. Nothing more.
