On Friday morning, former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany spoke out to slam President Joe Biden for not giving the ex-President Donald Trump any credit for the COVID-19 vaccine in his address to the nation on Thursday night.
While being interviewed by Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo, McEnany accused Biden of engaging in “revisionist history.”
“It was extraordinary, the denial of all that the previous administration had done before him,” McEnany said. “You even have ABC News, The New York Times and this morning The Washington Post noting even that the Johnson & Johnson and Merck breakthrough began under President Trump’s administration.”
“Three vaccines, not one, three vaccines in record time and manufacturing those vaccines at an industrial scale beforehand was a novel approach,” she added. “But all of that denied by Biden, though acknowledged by the mainstream media, the liberal media, rather. It’s really interesting to watch.”
Even the Washington Post reports on the Trump admin paving the way for Biden on vaccines:

In his speech marking the one year anniversary of coronavirus restrictions being enacted in the United States, Biden falsely claimed that the Trump administration had met the pandemic with “silence.”
“A year ago we were hit with a virus that was met with silence and spread unchecked. Denials for days, weeks, then months,” Biden said. “That led to more deaths, more infections, more stress, and more loneliness.”
On the same day Biden gave his speech, Trump released a statement reminding the world that his administration played a significant role in getting the coronavirus vaccine out to the American people so quickly.
“Statement by Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America: I hope that everyone remembers when they’re getting the COVID-19 (often referred to as the China Virus) Vaccine, that if I wasn’t president, you wouldn’t be getting that beautiful ‘shot’ for 5 years, at best, and probably wouldn’t be getting it at all,” he said. “I hope everyone remembers!”
Earlier this week, McEnany criticized Biden for still not giving a single press conference despite having been in office for more than fifty days.
“It is extraordinary, but predictable,” McEnany told Fox News. “I remember I warned reporters, in a joking way, when it was clear Biden was the incoming president, they should get used to the feeling of not seeing a president regularly.”
