On Monday, pro-life activists decided to show their support for Texas Governor Gregg Abbott and the highly controversial “heartbeat law.” Gathering on campus, the activists paraded around, chanting, “Christ is King.” Surprisingly, this angered local Antifa members so much that an entire group of counter-protesters showed up, being sure to chant, “F**K your God!” And while that alone should be more than enough to sum up everything Antifa stands for, the radical group didn’t stop there.

According to Kelly Neidert, founder of the YCT chapter at the University of North Texas (UNT), she recalled how Antifa treated and threatened them. “They harassed us. They were throwing things at us. They were chanting things. They brought all sorts of instruments that they were playing to drown out whatever we were saying. They brought their megaphones; they brought whistles.”
The event wasn’t random either, as the vigil was presented by the Young Conservatives of Texas (YCT) chapter at the UNT.
A supporter of Antifa even tweeted a flier to make sure more members would show up to fight the pro-lifers. The tweet read, “Fascists are organizing in your area. Tonight the young conservatives have invited groyper influencers & white nationalists such as Lance Johnston to a pro-life ‘vigil’ in supporting Christo-fascist abortion legislation.”

Luckily, the protest didn’t involve violence, but Neidert said that several members of Antifa tried to pick fights with them and even told the conservatives to kill themselves. Some members of Antifa followed the activists to their cars and continued to harass them.
