The First Lady Jill Biden made a huge mistake on Monday, when she introduced Vice President Kamala Harris as the president during a Black History Month event at the White House.
“As many of you know, our vice president’s historic path to the White House began before she could even walk, marching with her parents in the Civil Rights movement, or at least being pushed in a stroller,” Biden said.
“Since then, she has dedicated her life to pursuing justice and opportunity for all,” she added. “She is a partner to Joe, especially on issues like voting rights, and is proud to be the first, but not the last.”

Biden proceeded to introduce Harris as the president before quickly correcting herself as the audience laughed. She then tried to backtrack by claiming that she was joking, saying, “I just said that to make you laugh.”

President Joe Biden has repeatedly slipped up and called Harris the president. Most recently, he did so back in December while delivering a commencement address at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, South Carolina. During this speech, he tried to praise Historically Black Colleges and Universities, touting, “Of course, President Harris is a proud Howard [University] alum.”
President Biden had previously described Harris as the president in March of last year, and before that, he referred to Harris as the “President-elect” in the December before he took office.
This comes after First Lady Biden encouraged those who are struggling with mental health amidst the crisis in Ukraine to ask for help.
“I imagine many of us are feeling the weight of what is happening in Ukraine over recent days,” she said, according to Daily Mail. “Parents are sitting in front of the television with their children, explaining reports from thousands of miles away. Teachers are standing in front of classrooms, answering questions of ‘why’ and ‘what is going to happen next?”
Biden added that “our military families are acutely aware that events taking place in Europe may have a rippling effect on the future of their loved ones in uniform.”
“In this difficult time there are no easy answers, and that may cause a feeling of uncertainty,” she continued. “It is okay to ask for help.”
Biden also said that she and her husband were praying for “the brave and proud people of Ukraine.”
“Our hearts are with our troops and our military families, including those who are stationed throughout Europe demonstrating solidarity with our Allies,” she concluded. “We are profoundly grateful for your service.”
Many have long theorized that President Biden isn’t in control of his own presidency, and his wife’s latest mistake in calling Harris the president will only add fuel to that fire. In the end, this is just another humiliating gaffe from a Biden.
