Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of the former President Donald Trump, spoke out on Friday morning to fire back at Dr. Anthony Fauci one day after he said that it may be “risky” and premature to take the masks off children in school.
“It’s understandable why people want to take masks off the kids. But, right now, given the level of activity that we have, it is risky,” Fauci said on Thursday, according to Daily Mail. “Now we could get lucky, cause the trajectory right now is going way down. And it very well may be that if you take masks off of kids in the next week or so, it’s going to keep going down. But you have to be careful.”
This did not sit well with the wife of Eric Trump, as she firmly believes that these school mask mandates need to come to an end.

“We know the science, we know that if you compare schools that were masked and unmasked throughout the entire pandemic, there is virtually no difference in COVID transmissions. … It’s time to take the masks off our kids,” she said while appearing on “Fox & Friends.”
Not stopping there, Trump proceeded to lay into Fauci.
“The reason Dr. Fauci is not too big on rolling the masks back now totally for kids is what is he going to do after the pandemic?” she added. “What magazine covers is he going to grace? Who’s going to want to give him an interview? He’s really enjoying riding high over the past two years of this pandemic as the king. I think he knows when it’s over, nobody’s going to have time for him. So maybe he’s trying to extend it out a little bit. Regardless, get the masks off our kids. It is absolutely time, it’s over.”
Fauci is still calling for children to be forced to wear masks despite the fact that COVID-19 cases have decreased by 42% nationwide over the past week. He’s continuing to call for this even though he admits that COVID-19 policies may be harmful to kids.
“Is the impact on mental health, is the impact on development of kids, is the impact on schools – is that balanced against trying to be totally pristine and protecting against infection? I don’t have the right answer to that,” Fauci said on Wednesday.
Many will agree with Trump that it’s time for these masks mandates for our children to come to an end. It’s time to allow our children to return to normal life before any more damage to their development is inflicted upon them.
