The former First Lady Melania Trump reemerged on Wednesday to drop a bomb when she announced that she has teamed up with the social media platform Parler.
The Hill reported that Melania released a statement in which she praised Parler, saying that it “empowers its users to foster productive discourse.”
“I am excited and inspired by free speech platforms that give direct communication to people worldwide,” she added. “Parler has been on the forefront of utilizing Web3 technology and empowers its users to foster productive discourse.”
Parler released a statement of its own about this “special arrangement” with Melania, saying that she will share “exclusive communications” on the social media network.
“In the time that Parler and Mrs. Trump have been working together, we have found a new level of productivity and engagement with both her, her team, and her brand,” Parler CEO George Farmer said in a statement. “Parler is excited to take this step forward with her and continues to build out its product offering to support her professional evolution as one of the world’s leading icons.”
At the time of this writing, Melania is still active on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts, and it is unclear how her partnership with Parler will impact her accounts on these other platforms.
This comes after Melania released a collection of NFTs [Non-Fungible Tokens], with a percentage of the proceeds being used to fund scholarships for foster children. She also released a watercolor paintings of her eyes that was made by Marc-Antoine Coulon called Melania’s Vision and The Head of State Collection.
“Through this new technology-based initiative, we will provide children computer science skills, including programming and software development, to thrive after they age out of the foster care community,” Melania said in a statement, according to The Sun.
Since she moved out of the White House last year, Melania has been living in Palm Beach, Florida at her husband’s Mar-A-Lago resort.
“Both are very happy to be in Palm Beach,” a source recently told People Magazine of Donald and Melania Trump. “Mar-a-Lago is their home and they could not be happier about that. They do not miss New York.”
“Donald plays golf regularly with political guys who fly down as well as with social friends from his club, and Melania keeps busy with her family, the spa at Mar-a-Lago and her own business and philanthropic interests,” the insider added.
Another source said that Melania is staying busy by “working on some exciting projects.”
“Melania has her own fashionable interests and wants to do something with them to make money,” this insider said. “While Melania is a quiet and low-key person, she definitely has her own attitude and does pretty much what she wants — even if others don’t get it.”
