The former First Lady Melania Trump blasted the mainstream media on Friday after an investigation was launched in Florida into a fundraiser of hers.

The New York Times reported that Melania is selling tickets for a “high tea” event in April, with the profits from it going toward the “Fostering the Future” initiative of her “Be Best” endeavor. However, the publication claimed that neither Fostering the Future or “Be Best” are charities that are registered in Florida.

This report did not sit well with Melania, who promptly fired back at the media that has been against her for years.

“Despite my actions, the press continues to publish inaccurate, misleading, and outright incorrect articles about my work,” Melania said, according to The Hill. “The media has created a narrative whereby I am trying to act in an illegal or unethical manner.”

“That portrayal is simply untrue and adversely affects the children I hope to support,” she added. “Those who attack my initiatives and create the appearance of impropriety are quite literally dream killers. They have canceled the hopes and dreams of children by trying to cancel me.”

Not stopping there, Melania went on to say that she was the victim of a “politically motivated decision” recently regarding her Fostering the Future initiative, in which an Oklahoma school that was supposed to receive scholarships decided not to work with her.

“Recently, a computer science school founded in Silicon Valley with a campus in Oklahoma agreed to work with Fostering the Future,” she said. “Multiple scholarships were going to be granted through the school’s preferred designated fund, based in Tulsa, with the first class of students enrolling in Fall 2022.”

“I had signed the Designated Fund Agreement and was waiting for the countersignature when the school informed me it would no longer participate. They would not accept scholarship dollars for deserving students—even as an anonymous gift. It was made clear to me that the school’s Board of Directors organized a politically motivated decision,”  Melania continued, saying that this was not the first time that her efforts “to support children” had been impeded by politics.”

“Supporting children is not, and should never be, part of a political agenda,” she concluded.

Since moving out of the White House at the end of 2020, Melania has been living at her Mar-A-Lago estate with her husband, the former President Donald Trump, and their son Barron. We applaud her for courageously going after the mainstream media that continues to be against the entire Trump family.
