Whoopi Goldberg has found herself in some serious hot water after saying on Monday’s episode of the ABC talk show “The View” that the Holocaust was “not about race.” Though she has since backed down and attempted to apologize this morning, insiders say that executives at ABC and Disney are furious that she has not been reprimanded more for these outrageous remarks.

Goldberg had argued yesterday that the Holocaust couldn’t be about race, as she described Jews and Nazis as “two groups of white people.” Check out Goldberg’s comments that got her into this mess in the video below.

“ABC staffers and Disney Network execs are saying Whoopi went way too far,” an ABC source told Page Six. “And board members are not happy with her apology and want a fuller retraction. The word is that Whoopi is in ‘deep s–t.'”

“Why does Whoopi seemingly get a pass when others don’t? Perhaps this time she won’t,” the insider continued. “Many at the network — including her fellow hosts — believe Whoopi is too controversial now for the show.”

Not stopping there, the source went on to say that this incident “isn’t just going to blow over.”

“This will cast a shadow over everything for a while. Even Joy Behar was heard saying backstage that Whoopi is ‘dead wrong’ and may not ever recover from this,” the insider explained. “Joy found this particularly troubling and couldn’t believe Whoopi wouldn’t stand corrected until she was forced.”

Even Goldberg’s agents have reportedly gone into panic mode over her anti-semitic remarks.

“Her agents are panicking that she may have ruined herself for good,” the insider alleged. “Plus, now she has to worry about potential death threats.”

Goldberg attempted to backtrack this morning by saying that she “misspoke.”

“I tweeted about it last night but I kind of want you to hear it from me directly. I feel a responsibility,” she said. “My words upset so many people, which was never my intention. I understand why. The information I got was really helpful.”

“I said the Holocaust wasn’t about race and was instead about man’s inhumanity to man. It is indeed about race because Hitler and the Nazis considered Jews to be the inferior race,” Goldberg continued. “Words matter and mine are no exception. I regret my comments and I stand corrected.”

Many have since taken to Twitter to argue that talk show hosts like Sharon Osbourne have been fired for far less than this, arguing that Goldberg should meet the same fate as they did.

“Whoopi may benefit from the fact that people are tired of cancel culture,” another TV insider said. “But it is still astonishing that it’s one rule for Whoopi and another for everyone else.”

It remains to be seen whether or not Goldberg will be given a full free pass for this, but given how devoted she is to spreading the leftwing agenda, it’s unlikely that the liberal media will actually hold her accountable for her own words.

The hypocrisy of the left is truly astounding.
