Kayleigh McEnany, the former press secretary of Donald Trump, spoke out on Friday to slam her successor Jen Psaki, who performs the same job for President Joe Biden.

Daily Mail reported that McEnany said that she is tired of Psaki’s “bad news” press briefings among soaring gas prices and record-breaking inflation.

“Do you remember that SNL character, Debbie Downer?” McEnany said while co-hosting the Fox News show “Outnumbered.” “Every time I turn on the press briefing it’s Deeeeeebbie downer.”

Debbie Downer was a character on “Saturday Night Live” that was portrayed by Rachel Dratch, and was known for her constant negativity. The character even had her own theme song that went, “You’re enjoying your day, everything’s going your way, then along comes Debbie Downer. Always there to tell you ’bout a new disease, a car accident, or killer bees. You’ll beg her to spare you, ‘Debbie, please!’ but you can’t stop Debbie Downer.”

McEnany went on to double down on her attack on Psaki.

“You know, Putin is about to invade — oh, he might use chemical weapons. Oh, expect inflation, oh, higher gas prices on the way,” McEnany continued. “It’s like, we did not elect you to do the status quo, read the tea leaves, we elected you to change the status quo. I’m tired of Debbie Downer. Make those events not happen by being strong on the world stage and fixing problems here at home.”

McEnany said all this in response to her co-host Carley Shimkus, who attacked Biden for trying to pin the rising gas prices on Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Inflation is at a four-year high. That doesn’t happen overnight,” she said. “And you know the president said that he’s going to try and get U.S. farmers to ramp up food production to try to lower prices because of this wheat shortage, but that’s going to be really hard to do because a lot of farmers are maxed out.”

Biden has gone all out in trying to gain gas prices on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, even though they were on the rise from the time he took office.

“Let’s be absolutely clear about why prices are high now are high for two reasons. One was COVID – the way the global economy works,” Biden said last week. “Now a second big reason for inflation is Vladimir Putin. Make no mistake – the current spiking gas prices largely the fault of Vladimir Putin.”

Unfortunately for Biden, however, very few Americans are buying that.
