Branson, who founded Virgin Galactic, and five others will fly to a height of 55 miles above the earth on the rocket plane VSS Unity. (NASA and some others consider 50 miles above Earth the beginning of space.) The rocket launch will occur after the VSS Unity is carried to an altitude of around 50,000 feet by a special plane. The entire flight should take around 90 minutes. Virgin Galactic is planning on taking more space tourists into space on future flights.
