But that is the true context of the Russia-Ukraine war, NATO expansion was always our plan, to include Ukraine, and Russia was never going to accept that eventuality. President Trump said during the campaign he could end the war in a day and just wants to stop the killing. Then he retired Army Lt Gen Keith Kellogg as his peace envoy to the effort. General Kellogg does a have a plan, but it seems it will take much longer to get Russia to agree with the proposal, which frankly, seems like a non-starter on its face and key parts have been rejected by Russia already. The good news is we now have a President that wants to achieve peace and isn’t constrained to one set of ideas from even his own appointees.
