Before Joe Biden tripped climbing up the stairs of Air Force One or famously try to force the COVID-19 jab on the American people, there was the highly contested 2020 election. Taking place at the end of 2020, it appeared that supposedly beating former President Donald Trump might be one of President Biden’s only accomplishments to date. And to make it worse, even that accolade is consistently being debated as Republicans, including Trump, and Americans have called into question the legitimacy of the election process.

It should be noted that President Biden also questioned the elections during his first press conference of 2022. But while the Democrats and Biden rarely mention his win over Trump, it seems some aspects of that election night were apparently unconstitutional.

According to a Fox News report, a Commonwealth Court filing that was released on Friday showed that a mail-in-voting law in Pennsylvania was unconstitutional. The law has only been in effect since 2019. The court ruled that allowing residents to vote by mail in the state violated Article VII, Section 1 of the state’s constitution.

Being the latest pillar to fall in 2020 election investigations, not only did Steve Bannon, host of The War Room, speak with Boris Epshteyn, who is a special assistant to Trump, but the former President himself also released his own statement. Trump wrote, “Big news out of Pennsylvania, great patriotic spirit is developing at a level that nobody thought possible. Make America Great Again! – President Donald J. Trump”

After the decision was announced, Commonwealth Court President Judge Mary Hannah Leavitt added, “If presented to the people, a constitutional amendment to end Article VII, Section 1 requirement of in-person voting is likely to be adopted. But a constitutional amendment must be presented to the people and adopted into our fundamental law before legislation allowing no-excuse mail-in voting can be ‘placed upon our statute books.’”
