The former President Donald Trump dropped a bomb over the weekend when he accused Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign of committing treason.

The New York Post reported that in a shocking new legal filing on Friday, it was claimed that Clinton’s campaign paid an internet company to “infiltrate” servers at Trump Tower and the White House in an attempt to link the former president to Russia.

Special Counsel John Durham filed a motion in which he claimed that Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann, who has been charged with lying to the feds, “had assembled and conveyed the allegations to the FBI on behalf of at least two specific clients, including a technology executive (Tech Executive 1) at a U.S.-based internet company (Internet Company 1) and the Clinton campaign.”

The motion added that records show that Sussman “repeatedly billed the Clinton Campaign for his work on the Russian Bank-1 allegations,” which involved an investigative firm, a tech executive, cyber researchers and numerous employees at internet companies.

Trump then released a statement on Saturday night saying that Durham’s motion vhas indicated him, as it shows that the alleged crimes of Sussman “would have been punishable by death” in another time. Trump added that the motion “provides indisputable evidence that my campaign and presidency were spied on by operatives paid by the Hillary Clinton Campaign in an effort to develop a completely fabricated connection to Russia.”

“This is a scandal far greater in scope and magnitude than Watergate and those who were involved in and knew about this spying operation should be subject to criminal prosecution,” Trump continued.

Republican Rep. Kash Patel, who acted as chief investigator in the House’s investigation into Trump’s alleged ties with Russia, told Fox News that Durham’s motion is “definitive” evidence that Clinton’s campaign orchestrated “a criminal enterprise to fabricate a connection between President Trump and Russia.”

“Per Durham, this arrangement was put in motion in July of 2016, meaning the Hillary Clinton campaign and her lawyers masterminded the most intricate and coordinated conspiracy against Trump when he was both a candidate and later President of the United States while simultaneously perpetuating the bogus Steele Dossier hoax,” he continued.

Clinton herself has yet to respond publicly to this motion. Rumors have been swirling as of late that she may be planning to run for president again in 2024. Should she do that, there could be a potential rematch between her and Trump, who has said he will likely reveal his own decision on whether or not he’ll run for president again after the midterm elections later this year.

It will certainly be interesting to see how this all plays out.
