Las Cruces, NM - A bodycam video, that was recently posted on Reddit, shows the moment Officer Adrian De La Garza put his own life on the line to take down a cop killer. De La Garza was in pursuit of Omar Felix Cueva, the drug dealer who shot and killed New Mexico State Police Trooper Darian Jarrott during a traffic stop.

The bodycam footage shows De La Garza perform a PIT maneuver (40 mile pursuit from the traffic stop where Tooper Jarrott was killed), exit his patrol vehicle and immediately come under fire from Omar Felix Cueva. What happens next is an amazing display of courage from this law enforcement hero...

You can see Officer De La Garza being shot by the now deceased cop killer, Omar Felix Cueva. De La Garza fell to the ground but was able to quickly get back to his feet and continue firing a Cueva until the threat was eliminated.

Fellow officer provided medical aid to De La Garza before he was airlifted to a local hospital where he was treated for non life threatening injuries.

The incident was also captured on a cellphone video by a bystander...

And there was also some aerial footage of the incident released by the New Mexico State Police
