The NYPD released bodycam footage of officers responding to Saturday's shooting in Times Square that left three shot, including a 4-year-old girl. Hero Officer Alyssa Vogel can be seen running with the 4-year-old girl in her arms who was wounded in the shooting.
The footage shows officers treating several of the wounded at the scene before Officer Vogel picked up the child and ran her to an ambulance. Officer Vogel, a mom of a small child, told the NY Post the victim was “the strongest little girl I’ve ever seen.” She continued, "I kept telling her to breathe and that her daughter was going to be OK. I kept trying to calm her down because she was obviously very scared.”
All three victims are expected to recover from their injuries. The suspect has been identified as Farrakhan Muhammad, who is still not in custody.
